The collective book Desafíos a la innovación offers an interesting approach to the complex connections between public policies and industrialization in Argentina. Firmly rooted in economic history—the area of expertise of Aníbal Jáuregui and Claudio Belini, compilers of this work—the propositions arising from these pages go beyond that field of study and converse with other social sciences. Some of the book’s contributions are of interest to those researching the history of technology because they identify moments in which industry functioned as a gateway to changes and continuities in science.
